Aguilera to change her name
Xtina is so awestruck by her recent marriage to record exec Jordan Bratman that she's considering changing her name to Maria Bratman. Hmm. Do I want to say 'awestruck,' or would 'dumbfounded' be a better word? Fuck it; let's go with 'dumbstruck.' Xtina is so dumbstruck about being a newlywed that she's considering making retarded choices for her future. Quotes Bratilera,
"I'll probably always be Christina Aguilera professionally, but I'm thinking of changing some legal things and going by my middle name Maria and his last names."
So what the fuck is the point? I can see how changing your last name would make sense. That, at least, is traditional. But do you really need to seperate business and pleasure so much that when you're not performing or doing the talk show circuit, people need to call you Maria? Or is it that same old song and dance with you about your Latin heritage. You want to change your last name to Bratman for his sake, but then how are people going to know Christina Bratman is a proud Latina? Trust me, no one would give a shit anyway, idiot. Is it too early in your marriage for your husband to explain to you that this all sounds a little unnecessary and stupid?
Of course, there's always that glimmer of hope that you're changing it so you can slip under the public eye and do a little hardcore porn. Not likely, but one can dream...
